We convene women leaders from civil society, business, academia, and communities to work across boundaries and sectors. WUSI values diversity, inclusion, and shared learning. We believe sustainable change is strongest when it is collective, grounded in local realities, and informed by global perspectives.

Founder
Sally I. Kailola
Founder
Sally I. Kailola is a senior communications and sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience working across environmental conservation, humanitarian response, and community development in Indonesia and internationally. She has held leadership roles with international organizations including Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN), The Nature Conservancy Indonesia, Médecins Sans Frontières, Catholic Relief Services, and the International Catholic Migration Commission.
Throughout her career, Sally has worked at the intersection of people, nature, and systems change—bridging science, community realities, policy, and public narratives. She is particularly known for her work in strategic communications, brand and reputation leadership, and translating complex sustainability and social issues into credible, inclusive, and action-oriented stories.
Sally founded Women United for Sustainability Impact (WUSI) to create a trusted platform where women leaders from diverse sectors can connect, collaborate, and drive meaningful sustainability outcomes. Her vision for WUSI is rooted in the belief that lasting impact requires collective leadership, equity, and collaboration across boundaries.
